Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Layo – Pallay Punchu (Apu T’acllo) – Cusco

The tour starts early with hotel pickup in Cusco, followed by a scenic drive south through high-Andean landscapes and rural communities. After arriving in Layo, a traditional Andean breakfast is served, allowing time for acclimatization before continuing to the trailhead at Sallani.

From there, the guided hike ascends to Pallay Punchu at over 4,700 meters, passing wetlands, small lagoons, Andean wildlife, and panoramic views of Langui Lake. At the summit of Apu T’acllo, there is free time to enjoy the striking multicolored mountain formations and take photographs.

The hike then descends back to the starting point, followed by a traditional local lunch in Layo. In the afternoon, the group returns to Cusco, arriving near the main square around 6:00 p.m., concluding the full-day experience.
